I have the linksys wireless G notebook adapter. I had the exact problem when I loaded Hardy from scratch so I don’t think it is a problem from the upgrade. This happened with both Gutsy and Hardy.

A whole bunch of information came up. Not finding what you are looking for? If we take the card out, move it around, shake it, etc, it works for a few minutes. I want to say they were something like: I had previously been unable to connect to any wireless network; after 60 seconds of trying, it would give up. I just want to the thing to work Hopefully someone will work on improving the “out of the box” experience for this important item.

Thanks for this howto. Load the driver into ndiswrapper module. All you have to do is sign up and you can start downloading drivers.

Need XP drivers for linksys wireless g WPC54G VER 3.1 notebook adapter

It seems that linksys has their driver downloads messed up for this card. Done Building tag database I found out that there were two directories created by ndiswrapper for the old drivers, but unfortunately, I can’t remember exactly where the were located I’m VERY new to Linux, and I don’t have access to my Gutsy laptop at the moment. Anything I can do to get this working, as I pointed out in the other thread that apparently doesnt work either.
